Kevin Myers
Growing up outside of Eugene, Oregon, Kevin started running at the beginning of the running boom in the early 1970s. He bought his first pair of running shoes, the Nike Cortez, from BRS Sports which later became Nike Inc. A spectator at many of the University of Oregon track meets and Olympic Trials held at Hayward Field, Kevin watched Prefontaine’s last race in 1975.
A competitor on the track and road until his early 20’s, Kevin set personal records of 31:10 for the 10K, 1:07:38 for the half marathon and 2:39 in the marathon. In 1984 he was part of the Nike Corporate team that took third place at the Xerox Corporate Championships in Buffalo, New York.
After fifteen years off from running, Kevin hit the trails in late 1999, running his first 50k at the McKenzie Trail 50k with a friend after six weeks of training. His trail results included a 3:50:44 at the McKenzie Trail 50K, at the time a masters course record. His 50 mile personal best was 6:48 at the 2001 Autumn Leaves 50 miler, another course record. In 2002, after running for almost three years, he ran and finished, the Western States 100 miles, in 23:13 in Auburn Ca.
Kevin started his coaching career at Lane Community College in 1985 as an assistant track and cross country coach for the men’s program before taking over the men’s head coaching job from 1987 - 1990. In addition to coaching at LCC, he has coached middle, high school and post collegiate athletes. One of his post collegiate athletes, Terry Perrault, qualified for the 1988 Olympic Trials in the steeplechase. In the summer of 1989 Kevin was selected to work with the Bangladesh national track team.

Sierra Myers
Sierra spent her early childhood in Track Town USA. Sierra was first influenced to run by her parents and participated in the kids' track meets put on at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon when she was in Kindergarten. Her Dad would take her and her brother to Steens Mountain Running Camp over the summer, which only inspired Sierra to want to run even more. When she reached High School and was finally old enough she signed up for Steens and ended up going 3 times over the course of her High School career.
As a Sophomore in High School Sierra PR'd at the sub-district meet with a 5k time of 20:55. Unfortunately, the state meet that same year did not go as well partly due to catching the flu the week before. Sierra developed plantar fasciitis at then end of her Sophomore year of High School and was not able to run for about a year and a half. She was able to compete her Senior year of High School, but because of the amount of time it took to rehabilitate her foot she was not in running shape and had a difficult time getting back into running.
After graduating High School Sierra went on to obtain her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology Pre- Physical Therapy from Western Washington University in 2016. She became a Personal Trainer in 2013 and has worked with clients of all different backgrounds who have brought a diverse range of goals. After college Sierra has worked in two physical therapy clinics where she has had the opportunity to work with clients rehabilitating from injuries or surgery. She has spent the last couple of years creating exercise programs for a variety of clients ranging from High School students to Senior citizens. She has experience working with athletes, coach to 5k runners, individuals recovering from an injury or surgery, individuals with hypertension, hypothyroidism, dislipidemia, and other medical conditions. Sierra works with all populations and finds helping others achieve their goals very rewarding.
